Great post. Make Space for Girls is currently very influential in UK placemaking, on a similar vein to the Spanish research you quote. Swings facing each other is a play typology that girls want, rather than yet another MUGA pitch. Greater diversity in our profession will also broaden and support shifts in representative planning, though there already a lot of women in the planning profession and still - as you say - places and codes are being designed for male ergonomics and metrics. There is much room for this debate - thank you for bringing it up.
